wildcat logoJMMS Staff is looking forward to seeing students back in the building.  There is a lot of information for students to know, but most importantly we want students to know where to go when they arrive their first day and we will support them from there.  Below is some additional information that is important to know prior students arriving on their first day of in person learning (January 19th- AA Cohort and January 21st- BB Cohort).

Safety Information: We have been preparing the building for students to safely return. Please feel free to view our Safety Plan Presentation by clicking here. (Students are receiving this information in Homeroom over the next couple weeks)

Important Logistics:

School Arrival: Students will enter the building through designated team doors. Click here to view the assigned doorways based on your child’s team.

Students will be able to enter the building between 7:35am-7:50am- please drop off as close to this time as possible to avoid large crowds of students outside.  Students will report directly to their Homeroom classroom.

School Dismissal: Students will be dismissed by grade level in staggered times to avoid large crowds.  Please plan accordingly for pick-up
7th grade- 3:10pm
8th grade- 3:20pm

School Supplies: We have simplified School Supplies to only the basic and essential items. Students will need wired earbuds- please avoid wireless

Student Belongings:
Students will be allowed to carry a backpack with all their needed supplies in school.  Students will not use a locker- they will keep their belongings with them or in their homeroom teacher’s classroom.

Schedule Information: The following are a few important components of the schedule:

*Please make sure you know whether your student is in the AA Cohort, BB Cohort, or “Virtual Only” prior to January 19th.  This information was sent to all parents via email the week of December 7th.  You can also see which cohort your student is in by looking on Infinite Campus.

Consistent for students- the model is based off the current schedule students are already used to with certain classes considered “synchronous” on certain days and “asynchronous” on other days.
Includes ALL students- whether a student is fully virtual, in hybrid cohort A or in hybrid cohort B, all students will have equitable access to teachers and instruction
Easy for Transition- there will be the possibility for students/staff to have to transition from virtual to in person or vice versa. This model will allow for easy transitions in this event.
