POYEE XIONG
Poyee began her career in education as a 6th grade teacher at a middle level school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Throughout her teaching career, she has taught 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade, with her last classroom teaching experience at Kaleidoscope Academy as a 7th grade ELA/Geography teacher.
After being in the classroom for over decade, Poyee became a district Behavior Coach and Classroom Management Trainer for the AASD. She starts her first year as Associate Principal at Madison Middle School the 2023-2024 school year.
Poyee has a Bachelor's Degree from DeVry University, a Master's Degree in Urban Education and ELA from Alverno College, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.
DAVID NITKA
Mr. Nitka was most recently the Principal at Rondout School in Illinois. While on the administrative team at Rondout, Dave has assisted with their Professional Evaluation process, conducted new staff orientation, coordinated their district assessments and related data discussions, and helped oversee their virtual education program during the pandemic. At the heart of all of Dave's work is authentic relationships. He is passionate about Social Emotional Learning and building positive school culture. As a St. Norbert grad, Dave is from the Fox Valley and is eager to move back home.
ANDREW SCHANKE
Andy Schanke began his career in education as a fourth grade teacher at O.H. Schultz Elementary in Mishicot, WI. He was hired by Appleton in 2002 to teach a 4th/5th grade split at Johnston Elementary before coming to Madison Middle School in 2003. Before moving into his administrative career, he taught science at Madison Middle School. Andy has a Master Degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University and a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from UW Stevens Point. He has been the Associate Principal at Madison since the 2010-11 school year.
